Advocacy is a fundamental aspect of the commitment to justice, peace, and integrity of creation (JPIC) that is so dear to religious congregations. It offers a way to address the causes of crises and injustices by proposing alternatives that bring about the Kingdom even in the public sphere of social life. I hope that more and more congregations will use the tools and opportunities offered by ORCIE to meet with elected officials in their constituencies or in Ottawa and advocate for the care of our common home!
Le plaidoyer est un aspect fondamental de l’engagement pour la justice, la paix et l’intégrité de la création (JPIC) si cher aux congrégations religieuses. Il offre une façon de s’attaquer aux causes des crises et des injustices en proposant des alternatives qui font advenir le Royaume jusque dans la sphère publique de la vie en société. J’espère que de plus en plus de congrégations utiliseront les outils et les opportunités offertes par le BCRÉI pour aller rencontrer des élu·e·s dans leur circonscription ou à Ottawa et plaider en faveur du soin de la maison commune!
