We take a systemic approach, advocating for policies that contribute to relationships of solidarity with people and planet. Only with a transformation of humanity’s relationship with the earth and with the earth’s inhabitants will we be able take decisive action before we damage the planet beyond repair.
Pope Francis has named the critical moment we are in where a great cultural, spiritual and educational challenge stands before us, and it will demand that we set out on the long path of renewal.

We know facing the environmental challenges ahead of us requires improved collaboration and non-partisanship. Since our beginnings we have been in communication with elected officials, senior policy staff and faith-based and secular organizations working for increased attention to the climate emergency.












We apply the lens of integral ecology, to help move things forward with the clean energy transition and to strategically advance this change both nationally and globally.
The religious congregations involved in ORCIE-BCRÉI are taking action in their communities and are inspiring others to do the same. While Canadians are doing their part, we need action (and not just talk) in the House and Senate to move us forward in an ambitious and just transition towards 100% clean energy, if Canadians hope to ever meet our emissions reduction targets.
Resolute action to significantly reduce fossil fuel emissions, investment in innovative infrastructure with new, good jobs, and courageous commitment to the net zero path, is necessary at this time.
