Our approach

Addressing the climate emergency demands cross-party collaboration. Since our founding, we have engaged directly with elected officials, policy staff, and faith-based and secular organizations to build momentum around meaningful climate action.

We apply the lens of integral ecology in our reflection on how to accelerate the clean energy transition, with strategic change both nationally and globally. This means looking beyond individual behavior to examine how systems of power, economics, and governance shape environmental outcomes—and working to transform those systems.

Building political will

The religious congregations involved in ORCIE-BCRÉI are taking action in their communities and are inspiring others to do the same. We encourage the House and Senate to commit to an ambitious, just transition to 100% clean energy by:

significantly reducing fossil fuel emissions
investing in renewable energy infrastructure that creates good jobs
committing courageously to the net-zero pathway
